I joined an online group that is making a wool crazy quilt, this is something I have never done before. I am looking forward to learning a new skill and making something beautiful. I started off with
the book, a template for laying out the back ground wool and a package of wool scraps to get me started.
These were purchased from www.primitivegatherings.us. Wish me luck :0).
Best of luck with that! I've got a ton of wool scraps that I just stare at and think, "I should do something with that". But I never do. Maybe I just need the right pattern. I'll check out the link you gave.
ReplyDeleteooooooh, another obsession. enjoy your wool!
ReplyDeleteI am doing the Wool Crazy BOM through Primitive Gardens also. So far I am following their directions. It will be fun to see what you do with yours.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWere the wool scraps included in the $25 purchase (layout & tips). I thought they were but I received mine today & there were no scraps.
thanks,
Kathy
Kim, you will love it. I love working with felted wool and I make my own felt from woolen fabrics or re purpose clothes. I just ordered the same book too, how nice that we like the same things! Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that your book has arrived! I think you will love the stitching. I know some of my crazy stitches are, well, crazy, but that's ok, in the whole scheme of things...doesn't really matter! I am lovin' it, and can't wait to see some pictures of yours!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy learning something new! The wool items are beautiful. I've only thought of a pincushion in wool, maybe some of those penny projects. Then again, I live in CA, not much need for a wool quilt, huh? :-}
ReplyDeleteLearning something new is always such a great adventure!
