I am making some progress on my nine patches for the swap over at Barb's blog :0).
Check out how she taught us all to make the nine patches.......it's really fun!
Happy Sewing, Kim
I love your 9s. I made a red, orange and yellow quilt set solid bigger than a King, I think. I just kept adding to it. It was hand sewn and I used a template. I needed sewing therapy at the time, and I wanted to prove to the Daughter and DIL that you could make a quilt with just the minimum of tools. It is still a flimsy. I've made lots of other 9s since that - don't need the therapy any more. Thanks for sharing yours. Hugs
Hi, Kim, so cool to learn this process! I went and made a set of 4 blocks to see how it went, and they were neat! You are always inspiring dear friend ~ :-}pokey
I don't follow a very long list of blogs, but I'm kind of surprised that yours is the first posting I've seen regarding working on Barb's 9-patch swap. You have an impressive, bright stack with your combos of fabrics. I bet you're in the brights swap. I'm in the repro fabrics swap. Mine are a bit darker--a lot of black. If I don't keep going, time will get away from me. Barb's instructions certainly make the piecing easy.
Oh Oh, maybe I'll get some of these in my pile!! I love the technique Barb shared with us. So far I've sewn 33 pairs in the Repros, but I'm keeping one pair of each fabric design for myself, so, that makes me about half way there.
