"Can you help?" Amanda Jean asks.

Amanda Jean's blog is one of my favorite for ideas, inspiration and free tutorials.  She is making a plea
Simple blocks for a good cause

for simple blocks that can be made pretty quickly, I made these four blocks in less than 30 minutes.  Can you help?  Go visit Amanda Jean and check it out for yourself, she has a easy tutorial for you to follow.  It is all to benefit "Margaret's hope Chest".

Love Laugh Quilt

Do you know Beth over at " Love Laugh Quilt"?  I really admire her, she is always making something for someone else.  To celebrate Memorial Day she started a star quilt,  right now she is looking for 12 inch star blocks to make quilts for her local VA hospital.
I made one and encourage you to make one if you can and send it to Beth too.    Happy Sewing, Kim

I'm linking up with Design Wall Monday to spread the word :0).

House block

House block with wool trim
I thought I would enjoy making these houses with this sew along but these house aren't my thing.  I made this one from a some shirts that were gifted to me from Dorothy Young, thank you Dorothy!  I think this block will have to be made into a doll quilt and I'll move onto my next project or heck even finish one in process!   I'm linking this up over at   WIP Wednesday.         Happy Sewing, Kim

She can fly!

Is there anything more fun than playing with your grandchild?  I don't think so!
I brought this outfit, got her all dressed, then did her hair ( it HAD to be just like the girl on the package) then made her "fly" around the room.  These are pictures of her looking at herself in the mirror flying like a "Fairy Princess".    I had the time of my life with my favorite three year old!
