Ta Da!! The Quiltmaker Scrap Squad has made Julie's Herman's pattern "Raspberry Dessert" in their very own scraps! ( My blue and yellow version of "Raspberry Dessert' is machine quilted by Debby Brown and together we will donated it to QOV. ) You can visit Julie over at Jaybirdquilts to see all her patterns, visit her terrific blog and learn what she has been teaching a Brownie troop too!
You can see Julie's quilt "Raspberry Dessert" in her colorway (do you think it might have anything to do with raspberries?) and make the pattern from the current issue of Quiltmaker Magazine.
*****This is the part where you could win a pattern from Julie!******
In celebration of the new issue of Quiltmaker magazine Julie is giving away one of her patterns here on my blog! Just leave a comment by Friday telling me what the Brownies learned and I'll pick a random winner on Saturday April 2nd. Also.......You might have fun by visiting the rest of the Quiltmaker scrap squad members and seeing how they interpreted "Raspberry Dessert" in their scraps, PLUS you will get more chances to win a pattern of Julie's!

Thank you for donating the quilt to QOV! It will give someone warm hugs! (Brownies made pillowcases - great work.)
The blue and yellow in your scrappy version makes me feel like it's spring even though it's a cool morning here at my house. I love that she taught the brownie's to sew by making pillowcases.
Blue skies and sunshine, a combination we haven't seen in my corner of the world in ages. How can those Brownies sleep with visions of cookies under their heads (on their pillows) at night? This block looks like something I could use for a "sew with children" project soon. Thanks for sharing.
Love your version! The brownies made pillowcases
You just can't ever go wrong with blue and yellow. Beautiful job!
Your quilt turned out super. I like that you used the yellow as your background. Thanks for donating to QOV!
Its pillowcases. When I was a girl scout (did not become a brownie since when we arrived in the States, I was too old to be a brownie), we did not have any sewing lessons. But I had my mum to be the teacher for all her crafts that she has dabbled in.
Having just been lucky enough to win one of Julies patterns I was thrilled to see so many chances to win another one! The brownies were learning how to make a pillowcase. Love your colour combination two of my favourite colours together! Linda

Pillowcases! How nice of Robert Kaufman to donate the fabrics... Your blue and yellow Raspberry Dessert is a big quilter pleaser. Lot's are lovers of the two colors together. How generous of you to donate to QOV. Can you believe Julie doesn't like raspberries? I love them, but Mother Nature could have kept the seeds...darn things get in between my teeth every time. Sandi
She was teaching the Brownies how to make pillowcases. Love that Raspberry quilt!
