Infinite Variety Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts

Is it appliqued?  It must be because I can see no piecing.  Look at the quilting.  It is just the loveliest work.  Have you ever seen this pattern anywhere?  I sure haven't.  Happy Sewing, Kim

I think the hand quilting did it for all these quilts. I was at a quilt show on Saturday and there were some quilts with hand quilting on them and they just look that much nicer - Hugs Nat

I called this the Ric-Rac quilt also. And I was curious about how it was made and I got up close to it at the show. The Red is indeed appliqued to the white.

This one looks so modern until you look at the quilting. What an interesting combination. My jaw drops at every one of these quilts.

Kim, That was one of my favorite quilts. As hard as it was to pick one, this has to be on my list of quilts to make!
I imagined that it was appliqued in panels. Gorgeous!

I really like this one too. Not only the quilting, but also the precision in the placement. Definitely a quilt I'd like to know the history for!
